The Young at Heart had to cancel their plans for May, but did meet to plan for the upcoming months. For our June activity, we will join the Nailbenders for their evening meal at the Kountry Kettle on Thursday June 1st.

 

On July 14th, we will go to Jenny Wiley State Park at Prestonsburg for a luncheon matinee at their indoor theater. If you wish to go and have not made reservations, let us know as seats have filled up early.

 

In August, we will have an ice cream social. In September we will go to Glendale where we will tour Glen Dale Children’s Home, a KY Baptist home for children. We will lunch in one of the famous restaurants in Glendale and peruse some of the many antique shops.

 

In October, we will go to Middlesboro to see “Glacier Girl”, a fighter plane found buried

under 268 feet of ice; a house constructed of coal; and to Cumberland Gap National Historical Park.

 

We will go out to eat in November and have a Christmas dinner together in December.
